George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) was an Irish playwright, critic, and political activist. He is best known for his witty and satirical plays, including "Pygmalion" and "Saint Joan," and his contributions to the Fabian Society, a socialist organization in London. Shaw was a prolific writer, producing over 60 plays, numerous essays, and several novels throughout his long career. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1925. Known for his sharp wit and social commentary, Shaw remains an influential figure in literature and politics.
