Jhoolan’s mouth started watering when she heard the word imli. When does your mouth water? List five things you like to eat and describe their taste.
My mouth waters when I think about or smell my favourite foods like pizza, ice cream, and chocolate or when I'm about to eat a tasty meal.
1. Pizza: It has a savoury taste. The cheese is melty and salty, while the sauce is sweet and tangy. The crust is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
2. Ice cream: It's sweet and creamy. Depending on the flavor, it can have additional tastes like fruity for strawberry ice cream or chocolaty for chocolate ice cream.
3. Chocolate: It has a mix of sweet and bitter taste. The bold, slightly bitter taste of the cocoa balances out the sweetness of the sugar.
4. Mango: It's sweet and a little sour. The taste of a ripe mango is rich, juicy, and has a tropical flavor.
5. Fried Chicken: It tastes savoury and salty, with a crispy, crunchy coating outside and juicy, tender meat inside.
Do you like only one kind of taste or different ones? Why?

What is the importance of different tastes in our food?
The importance of different tastes in our food lies in providing variety, enhancing our sensory experience, and contributing to our overall health. Our taste buds can recognize different flavors such as sweet, sour, bitter, and salty which makes our meals more enjoyable and interesting.
For instance, in the story, Jhumpa and Jhoolan talk about various flavors they like such as the bitterness of karela, sweetness of jaggery, and sourness of lemon juice and tamarind, showing their preference for diverse tastes.
