Robert Louis Stevenson was a Scottish novelist, poet, and travel writer, born on November 13, 1850, in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is best known for his timeless classics such as "Treasure Island," "Kidnapped," and "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde." Stevenson's rich imagination and prolific writing imbued his work with adventure and romance. His writings, specifically his poems, often reflect on childhood and are unique in their capacity to evoke simplicity and joy. Despite suffering from chronic health issues throughout his life, he maintained a positive and inspirational outlook, which has greatly influenced his work. He died on December 3, 1894, in Samoa, where he had lived the final years of his life.
