Rabindranath Tagore was a Bengali poet, philosopher, musician, and artist from the Indian subcontinent. Tagore became the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913 for his collection of poems named 'Gitanjali'. His works have been widely translated into many world languages.
