Ruskin Bond is a famous author, born on 19th May 1934 in Kasauli, India. When he was six, his father became a tutor in Jamnagar Palace, where he also lived and studied. In 1939, when his dad joined the Royal Air Force, Ruskin went to live with his mom and sister in her home in Dehradun. Later, he studied in a boarding school in Mussoorie. But, when he was ten, his father died, which made him very sad. He was raised in Dehradun. He remembers the time when his father was alive as the happiest part of his life.
