Why does the poet feel that the nose is a funny thing?
The poet thinks the nose is funny because of the way it grows and sticks out on our faces. It can't be hidden. She also finds it funny that it has two little holes for breathing. The poet thinks that there is very little space between the end of the chin and the start of the hair, but the nose is right there like a handle. Lastly, she invites others to look in the mirror and laugh at their own noses.
